    Hi all !

    It's been a long time that I have the swiftec 226W pelt + Waterblock thing - MCW5002AT I think....
the only radiator I have is a small 12mm copper one, which is not bad ! but I never got my pelt running on it without the water very hot... even with 220v fan, and without cpu load on the pelt....

I guess I should better add that I am a "noise killer", which mean I hate noise :wallbash:
    • Better dissipates heat (stronger fans)
    • Totally quiet (behind 40cm wall)
    • Heat rejected out of the room !! (It is very hot here in the summer, and when the computer is running it is even worse in this room !)

the only "problem" that can happen is that tubes are a bit longer (currently ~25 feet (8m) ), and the need of stronger pump.
but I don't mind at all ! since the stronger pump will be outside the wall - and I won't hear it !!!

    results for now:
I can run the 226W Pelt + AXP OCed cpu load, without the water to exceed the 32*C, when outside it is ~28*C !
with the same radiator !!! I'm very glad !
anyways, I'm planning to add another radiator outside !

Please feel free to reply ! :D

    Funny !!

    I doesn't rain in Israel... :D

    no, seriously,
we have around 8-9 month a year without rain....
I believe that when the winter comes I will build a better sealed construction outside....

Heh, quite the shroud. I think you've got the skills to make something a bit nicer looking, but most (myself included) put functionality first.

Those all 120mm fans? Or 80's? A bit hard to tell.

I'm thinking a (covered!) Laing D4/D5 would do well as they have a LOT of power

    Thanks,
I don't really mind how this one looks -
    a. I don't (and so anybody) see it,
    b. If I get a bigger radiator, I need to do all from the beginning.

these are all 80mm fans, most of the very powerful (delta, papst, akasa etc...)

dont worry for the pump, I found something cheap, that will work perfectly.

Finally I find this method very very productive and effective !!!
even a small radiator like this keeps the water ~3*C from the env. temp !
I think I could connect some other devices in the room to this setup ! :D
like my Ampli, other computers, and every other device that makes this rom ********* hot !

i can't believe you punched 2 holes in the wall for that. that's going a bit too hardcore for me.

I'm toying with the idea of doing something along these lines.

    Great minds think alike!

but a good idea for you is to put the radiator in the garage for example, if it is not too far away from your room.

Hmmm IDea, "watercool your whole house. HAve a ac unit cool the water and have lines of water running through your house to cool all your heat producing gadgets" HMMMMM. Man im smart. Hmmm now you know what would be funny is to see someone try that. That would give me a laugh or 2.

Extremely ghetto mod but also very cool.
Kinda like the british guy who buried a huge (200L?) res under his house because the ground temp where he is is about 10 degrees :D
