I expect most people who need that kinda thing use their msn profile etc, unless I'm getting the wrong idea?

I use myspace so that everybody who went to my highschool during my hs years can easily find me, leave a message or contact me. I can do the same to them etc.

Ive got an account because my gf got one.. but I can confirm that it can get you laid, as I know people who have done so. There are plenty of people who use it to find people, and everyone from my college and highschool (mostly everyone anyway) has it, its a good way to keep in touch. My college has a group on there as well, which is really handy as far as keeping up on things. Roommate listings, activites, wanted / for sale, etc.

I also created a fake account of a girl whos pictures I found elsewhere. Its a riot to read some of the messages guys send her, and they all live where she "lives" as well. "Your fine, baby, we should hook up sometime" to "Hey, wanna f---?"

I have one, but I don't check up on it daily.
I've got a few buddies on there, so it's good for keeping in touch.

MySpace is great, Ive found out about countless local bands Ive liked through it!

Yes you can get laid through it but dont be too obvious in your intentions, like the messages 'shroom' gets ;)

    • Find single girl from your city/town/whatever
    • message her
    • get her msn/aim/whatever
    • talk more general chat and tell her shes fit... etc
    • suggest meeting up sometime (pubs are great as their a public space and its safer)
    • meetup
    • (maybe repeat last two points more than once)
    • invite her back to your place
    • have fun

It's easier to pull a girl in a bar/club IMO.

i have one, but to be honest i prefer other profile sharing sites, myspace is mostly used by ****ty bands who take out a 'myspace music' page and then add everyone they can find who look like they'd enjoy their music n then use their comments page to pimp said pooptacular band. I also hate the 'bulletin' system as it's way over-used 'BULLETIN: I have a new picture! leave me comments or i'll delete you off my friends list!!!' n what not.

    I laugh at you.
Yer I get a lot of band adds, but most of them are playing at one of the two pubs I visit regularly anyway so no loss. Just learn to click 'deny' when you see a band request.
Your telling me. Bulletins are abused big style on there, I'm ok as I only have my friends added to my list and they know not to over use bulletins.

myspace is actually pretty cool, if you are mature enough to handle it.

a lot of my friends moved away after high school and college, and my 3 year experiment in cohabitation pretty much ran off the rest of em. myspace let me find people that i havent talked to in years.

like mentioned above - unless it's a band you know personally (not just seen a couple times - but actually know) - just hit deny. if you get on a band's friend list, the band spam will follow.

once you start finding friends, thier lists will have other old friends, and mutual aquaintences, and it will snowball. it's just about proper use of networking.
