I just saw this now and thought it was great. Link From Google: "In honor of the first manned Moon landing, which took place on July 20, 1969, we’ve added some NASA imagery to the Google Maps interface to help you pay your own visit to our celestial neighbor. Happy lunar surfing. More about Google Moon." btw, zoom in all the way.
It's what they originally thought the moon was made from. Hah! I can't see the lunar lander junk there. That PROVES that we've never been to the moon!
Highly amusing. The Nasa website is actually something you could spend all your day in the office looking at, which I intend to do.... Also Apollo 13 is a good movie. Plus it's pretty much as it happened. Did that recent lauch of the shuttle go ahead? First launch since the last disaster... bg
It's funny, I was just this morning thinking, wouldn't it be cool if Google Maps did versions of Mars and the Moon. I think a Mars version should be possible eventually when they get enough high-res images from Mars Express.
Yep, They're great. My favourite piece of work by nick park, well I think that was the director / Author
