Well how about china, brazil, japan, and a few other sites that I can't tell the language that I have found so far. In either case world famous don't mean much these days with the internet and all.
Bit-tech and Flickr took the brunt of the hits from the news. But TheInquirer.net linked to the AustinModders forums, and it's can't handle that many links at the same time. (Meant for our local club of modders) It should be up in a day or so. The thread is the same as this one anyways.

The password thing is just admin, the members cant even get in right now. It will be up soon. I did see your post. In fact it was suggested to try to use travelers vacuum bags to form the wood. Even then, that works great for a curve, but not a compound curve (in two directions)
I was the one that suggested to use vacuum bags to form the wood And you could make a compound curve for the wood, you would have to insert things ontop of the normal cure to raise the wood in the different directions you want. -aaron

Man, I saw your ammo box mod in serval site before hand. Forgot to go to your website but for the last three days Ive just been loving everything of yours. That Ipod is jaw dropping I would pay the 300 hundred some bucks it cost for that beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
I hate iPods, But that is a sweet case. brilliant workmanship, excelllent quality. now if only i had the time to do that to my Zen Micro...
how did you carve out the back of the faceplate zap? arent the little clip dealies real fragile? also, is it prone to dents and dings, being wood? looks real nice though, does the wheel function fine despite the ~1/8th" bit with no tape?
I used a large carbide cutting bit on a dremel to carve most of the back out. (And smaller cutting and sander bits after that) The little clips are fragile. Only five of them remained after putting it together. They broke off when I put on the first coat envirotex, I wasn't smart and didn't keep the wood high enough off the table. But the ones that remain hold it together just fine. There is also hot-glue in the edges but that was more to fill imprefections then to hold the iPod together. The Envirotex coating is very tough, probably tougher then the original surface, so far I have had no dings or scratches since I made it, and I still carry it in my front jeens pocket unprotected. Yes the touch-wheel still functions. I have actualy removed it, sanded the backside down to be a bit thinner, and applied a single larger piece of double-tape. It now works 100%.
