Picked my new baby up last night... 04 reg Vauxhall Astra SXi 1.6l 16v 3dr 'Sport Hatch' (as they call it) - just over 100BHP and it tops out at around 116MPH if the stats are correct. It's a bit of an upgrade from my old 1.1l Peugeot 106, and I'm really happy with it so far - I love the way it corners and its really positive and responsive, even at 80MPH. It's completely stock at the moment and I'm not sure whether I want to do anything to it yet. I might change the skirts to match up with the rest of the car and maybe change the lighting in the dash board, too.
Looks good bigz, they're a nice car. How old is it out of interest? It looks very clean. Just watch out for the traditional boring Vauxhall syndrome.
It's an 04 reg - about 15 months old AFAIK. It's got 11k on the clock, well it did when I bought it - I went out for a bit of a road trip last night.
[OT] BigZ, Could you have found a more useless link for your sig if you tried? [/OT] How many miles you put on it last night?
uhm, I got the car at about 5pm, then did about 300 miles, had some tea, went to see some of the family and ended up home at about 9:30pm
Car looks good, seems like you got a good deal Ricing is the Jap equlivant of Chaving up your car, ie: Under car neons, Wahser jet neons etc
It's already got eyelids by the look of it. Or is that stock as bigz says? The Holden Astras in Australia (rebadged Vauxhauls) don't have them.
They're just stock frosted glass eyelids - the rear lights are also slightly frosted too, so that the orange hazard lights aren't so harsh. I'm tempted to replace those too at a later date.
