Modding putting a simple on/off switch on your ATX psu

    well, some people doen't want a atx switch (you know that switch where you have to push 4 seconds that your pc fall off) they want a switch like[​IMG] this, so this how-to tell's them how they can do something.

    this is stupid. Its the same thing as the switch on the mobo just you're cutting out the circuits on the mobo. You should really be switching the PSU flow of AC power in.

    you wil do not haved to mod your mobo, you have to mod your PSU !!!!, there are some people who prefere this., if you use a switch like this on the pushwitch on your mobo, your pw will boot but after 4 seconds, it falls off,

    I have to agree i had a PSU with on/off switch and one without and i personnaly would go with the one with a switch sooooooooooo much easier

    actually, had it been done cleaner, this would be a solution to the
    **arrgg I didnt have it switched on!** scenarios. If you've ever put everything back and then had to pull it out to switch it on, then you would appreciate this.
    But then again, you dont appreciate much from the sounds of it. :rolleyes:

    run that by me a again? do u mean the switch on the back of the PSU?

    no, this switch is for actualy turning the psu on, (that it is complete running, no save switch or something)

    Maybe I just don't understand the need for this mod. By the looks of things nobody much has seen this kind of thing before, so well done on trying something new.

    I wasn't trying to put your mod down, it's just that I definately won't be doing anything similar!
