    like do the fans come on or anything? Are you sure its the right PSU for the MoBo (e.g. all the right connectors) are they all connected?

    Your Mobo may have a 22 or 24 pin connector and/or a 4 or 8 pin connector does the PSU have both of these (do they match up with the proper number in the connector) and are they both attached?

    Do you have your memory in the proper bank(s)? Some MoBo require specific slots to be populated first.

    simple way to test the psu - look for the green wire on the big atx connector (theres only 1), and connect it to any one of the numerous black wires. you can do this by either taking these pins out and putting one on the other, or us something lke a paperclip to connect them.

    if the psu is working, it should start up on its own (ie not connected to anything) just by connecting these two wires.

    If you suspect the power switch, use a screwdriver or something to short the on/off pins directly.

    are you sure things like the ram/atx connectors etc are inserted all the way in?? have you got a fan connected??? some mobos dont start up unless a fan is connected iirc
