    Hi all

Just wondered if anyone could lend me a hand - In the process of reinstalling windows, and I get this message every time just after it reboots and enters the GUI phase.

I've tried different CDs, using one ram stick at a time and different hard disks.

Firstly I was getting an error whereby once I'd pressed F6 to specify 3rd party drivers, it would get to the stage where it copies all the files to the hard disk, and fail to copy the ones I'd specified (sil3112.sys I think). I managed to overcome this by slipstreaming the drivers into the winxp CD, but I'm now faced with an error previously unseen in all the times I've setup windows on this machine.

There's a picture of the error here

Have no idea what to do - any help much appreciated!

Change out the hard drive and cd cables..

Btw.. the setup log file would be helpful as it says...

The logfile just repeats the error. In the end, I managed to fix it by modifying the WINNT.SIF file in I386, adding a [Data] section as per a windows knowledgebase article for windows 2000 on unattended setups.

Hope this helps anyone who might have the same problem at some point

    Cheers guys
