    Hi everyone, :thumb:

I was wondering if anyone point me in the direction of a PC case to fit my spec n needs.

What I dont want is a HUUUGGGEEEEE case that can house more than 20 DVD rom drives and 160 hard disks and takes up my entire spare room.

I am extremely happy with my sn25p shuttle however the volume of the fan drives me mad and as so I would like to get into water cooling and so need a bigger case.

Ill need the case to be able to house an AMD athlon/SLI/PCI express compatsble motherboard.

I only need space for one DVD drive or two max. I dont need a floppy drive bay either but am not fussed it it has room for one.

If it had a window in the side all the better.

    Black is my prefered colour.

I know this is a very stringent and specific order. :eyebrow:

    Thanks,

    Mickey :D

hmmm... I've seen people build water cooling into shuttles... and what fan is getting on your nerves? you could swap it for a better one (a lot cheaper way)

    hello awacs

The fan has to be on full or when im playing BF2 for long periods it crashes the game.

It sounds like a small hoover.

Have you any pictures of watercooled shuttle?

The Coolermaster Centurion 5 fits the bill nicely... it's not terribly spacious, but I'm sure you could fit the WC stuff in :)

    hmmm... lemme find them...

edit: http://www.katuhintavertailu.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=64 I'm sorry but it's in Finnish... and there are smaller pumps on the market... Swiftech has some stuff that can easily be used... though you might want to check out someone elses blocks aswell... and I'd say small bore stuff would be your best choise... 1/2" is out of the question if you're going to cool the shuttle, just keep in mind that there should be some airflow through the case even if it's water cooled

check these forums here for some ideas on watercooling:

I've actually watercooled an SB75 Shuttle case a while back but I kinda cheated. I built an external box to house the radiator/fans/pump etc. It worked well but was bulky. I'll post some pics when I get home.

Dunno about your mamoth reuirments lol :)
But there are some new cases which are goign along the lines of the Coolermaster stacker. They tend to allow about quite a few drives in it.
One im personally lookign at is the very new Silverstone TJ07 (others inculde the new thermeltake series).
But to be honest , the most youll get in any of these thigns is about 7 Optical drives, and say 6 hard drives (some allow vertical mounting of drives, which allow you to squeeze in more).

Antec make some lovely cases, not too big (bit of a crush for large bore watercooling but a well planned small bore would fit) but would suit your needs and they have 120mm fans back and front. Cheapest is the 3000B for ~£35

Just run them at 7v.. still good airflow. I have two 80mm fans in this PC71... I just wired them in series so each gets a paltry 6V. totally silent, and still shift a reasonable amount of air.

There's always this then, if you're bothered about 80mm fans.

Just love Lian Li. Total fanboy... but with good reason.. they're just good.

I just dropped a Zalman Reserator into a shuttle as a first easy go with water cooling. It is a squish but if you use some 90 degree elbows in the cpu and northbridge cooler it would be a breeze. Wish I knew about them when I did mine.

    Shuttle XPC ST20G5 Aluminium Barebones System - AMD 64 (Socket 939) (FS-047-SH)

    Shuttle XPC SN25P Aluminium Barebones System - AMD 64 (Socket 939) (FS-045-SH)

The second has dual GPU support and weighs in around 280 squids.....

Water cool the shuttle, it isn't as hard as you think!

    As for a case:
Akasa Eclipse-62 or Antec SLK3000B or maybe Antec P180 IMO
I'm not sure I'd reccomend a Coolermaster Centurion if you might want to look at watercooling later on
