Apple First intel Macs rumored to arrive January

I doubt they will release powerbooks or powermacs first. I cant see companies risking buying machines with an os that hasnt been extensivly tested in the real world. iBook seems to be most likely to gain an intel cpu, possibly the mac mini too.

 

dunno... im sure they will have tested the intel macs by the time they release them...

I think an intel based powermac might be powerful than a G5 powermac

That, and that it's cheaper to get x86 hardware from Intel then to continue on the PPC route.

 

"performance per watt" is what Steve and co. actually said was the point.....
