    Hello everyone,

Centurion Mk II is an upgrade project of my computer, built in August of 2003. At the time and even today, it is my main rig. First here are some photos of 2003:

Since those photos, many things have changed and have learned a great deal. Due to the fact that I didn't use proper water addictive back then, there was corrosion. So I took out the watercooling and went back to having a stock cooler. Then due to lack of time, I just left it as it was. Dusty, messy and ugly.

Now, the Christmas holidays of 2005, time to finally have a much needed upgrade and fix-up of this computer.

    New stuff:

    ATI Radeon 7500
Western Digital 60GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
    LiteOn 52x24x52 CDRW Drive

Did yuo use the thermal pad on the zalman cooler. YOu might want to look into using the artic 5 thermal paste instead of it. Works better (from what ive been told).

Like I said in my first post:

To be specific, what happened was that my waterblock got clogged. I opened it up to find that it was filled with brown, rusty and very dirty material. I learned my lesson since then. Rather than seeing this as a waste of money, I see it as an excellent learning experience.

My 6600GT is AGP because my motherboard, the Abit NF7-S, only supports AGP 8X. If I went for PCI-E, that would mean I need to spend money to buy another motherboard. I don't find the need to waste money to do that.

    Hi Laziboy,

Nice clean work you delivered here :thumb: . Too bad though you didn't use the opportunity to really personalize the case :duh: . The only thing you really modded was the window and the cables. The modding on the cooler I don't count in as it was necessary to mount it an it is not in any way visible in your mod.

Concluded from the mousepads your main goal was obviously to keep the noise as low as possible. Therefore the airflow in your case can be more optimised by adding the extra mobo-power to the atx cable. The sleeving of the IDE, CDrom-power and power, reset en HDD buttons and LEDs you could all put in one bigger sleeving to make it look even cleaner. Also your CPU-coolercould be turned down to 7V (12V-5V) or even 5Volts If you like. It has enough cooling-capacity to protect your Barton against cooking. Your fanspeed you can still read by connecting the white cable from the zalman to your mobo with it's own connector.

As an idea for a theme you could make the sleeving match the outside of your case be giving it a paintjob in metallic grey.

I hope you don't feel attacked  , I just want to share my ideas for your case  . And as I mentioned before, I have to admit your modding is just very clean. I just hope to have encouraged you in modding more of your rig :dremel: .

    Grz Gaoske
