    Well just to clear thing up... This is not an class top end 2 grand PC, it costs about £500:D
    I have classed it as a beast because I am used to a P4 2.6 with 512 of ram and a crapy nvidia mx400 128 card!

    Well the Specs:


    *Mobo: Gigabyte K8N SLI

    *Processor: AMD Athlon 64bit 3700+

    *Harddrive: 80Gb SATA Hitachi Deskstar 7200rpm

    *Graphics: Nvidia 6200 PCI-EX 256mb (franks)

    *RAM: unbranded 1 GB DDR, PC3200.
    Ballistix Tracer 1gb DDR PC4000
    Ballistix 512mb DDR PC4000

    *PSU: Franks 420watt Tagan.

    *Case: Gladiator Case (franks)

    *Drives: DVD-R+CD-R

    *Wires/coolers: N/A

    *Sound Card: Sound Blaster X-Fi (some time next year)

    Let me know what you all think.


    I ALSO PLAN TO BUY A 7800GT 256MB LED VERSION, SOME TIME NEXT YEAR :d:d:d:d

    Even better than making a seperate post for corrections is using the edit button located on each of the three you made above ;)

    Nice rig, btw. Shame about that 6200 - you must be looking forward to picking up those 7-series cards, although you'll have to think... if you plan to wait until the end of the year, those cards will be nowhere near the top by then and the next generation of cards will be on the market.

    You'll just have to see how it plays out; whatever it is, it'll certainly be an improvement on a 6200 :naughty:

    very good specs -shame about the motherboard though! (dfi ultra-d wouldve been a much better buy or asus a8n!)

    a 7800GT won't be a very fast card by next year. And ditch the 512mb stick - 2T will be absolutely killing your system.
