    i know!

hehe, yes. you can open the box up and mod in the cables to add the hdd, but its difficult at best. if you mean for something like hdadvance or hdloader, you can get 'usb-advance' for the slimlines, that use a usb hdd (just a normal hdd with any standard usb enclosure).

USB Advance is horrible, it only has ~4% game compatability. Don't even bother.

it has the same game compatibility as hdadvance, its the same software, just pointed to the usb port rather than the na port.

    YES use www.google.com
the classic ps2 doesn't need a mod to use the hd, your suposed to have a modem the hd plugs into.

    HDD for PS2 slim

Try http://www.hdcombo.com, it has an additional HD box attached to PS2 slim, unfortunately the original PS2 box has to be open (will affect the warranty) and some cable to be soldered. The other one (without HD box) is developed by Team eXtender http://www.teamxtender.com/

See also http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/?p=guide_pstwo for additional information on this.

IMO you would be better off buying the old PS2 and having a hard drive in that. I've got one myself *COUGH* Modding a slimline is way too much hassle because the end result just wont look great. The big ol' daddy PS2's have much greater potential to be played with.

www.hdadvanceuk.com is where mine came from, take a look, you can get a full package there, I'd reccommend them highly!
