Motors Need some opinions on rims: RacingHart vs. Millie Miglia

These are the Millie Miglia's (EV-S)



and these are the RacingHarts (CR)



I'm honestly torn, I love the look of both. I think if I had to pick a set, I'd go with the RacingHart set b/c I know they're a good brand. I don't know anything about Millie Miglia other than they're Italian and seem to be well made.

Opinions?

 

Both are good brands. I've heard and seen both on cars.
Just out of interest, what car is it for?

Its all about the design really, the Top one, would suit a 350z perfect, second one, a Supra.

 

It's for a 2003 Cavalier. I've photochopped both and it looks pretty sweet with a drop.

 

Those racing harts are HOT!

 

Racing harts would suit it more imo.
Unless your sticking big brakes on it, in which case get the others

 

The RHs would be easier to clean... they also would suit the car better.

 

I've been leaning to the RH set anyways, heh, thanks. I'll be running 17x7s on Toyo Proxes4s. Can't wait to get this set up!

Nothing, I'm in the planning stages. I intend to approach some sponsors with preliminary sketches and plans for the car, I can't exactly afford $18k on an engine alone...

Completion stage will be a daily driver/track day car running 800hp + 150 shot of nitrous, weighing in around one ton exactly (2600 atm).

I dont know. Italian designs are usualy realy good.

But honestly witch set would be lighter? I say function over beauty any day. If you can aford them get some nice magnesium rims and full blown racing suspension to compliment them. After some of that drop in a new gen echotech and upgrade the supercharger along with engine internals. I dont see a reason to have 800hp engine on a fwd drive car either. 400horses would be plenty for track day. Unless your just going to drag it then get some large draging front weels and keep the rears as light as possible.


With 800hp and a fwd car your car is going to be point and shoot and handling is going to be crap. And im asuming your going to turbocharge the engine to atain 800hp meaning you will endure turbo lag that kiks in at the wrong time making the car unstable and not to mention feel empty and unresponsive when at first acelerationg. Not to mention 800hp out of a 2L inline4 would mean the motor is completly unreliable needing daily rebuilds if racing and weekly rebuilts if you drive more than 300miles a week.

Sorry to burst your bubble. My point of view. If you can do all you said reliably and have a daily driver more power to ya.

 

800HP on FWD is a overkill, but if you´ll like it...

Switchable engine map would probably be a good idea. As long as you don't go too extreme with cam profiles etc you should be able to have a very conservative map set up for every day driving with low boost etc.

 

The cams work under stock conditions without throwing a code, the only problem I will have is actually getting a programmer to configure things the way I want it.

 

Oh and by the way, I'd go for the RacingHarts
