As a Canadian I would like to trade ATi HQ for nvidia. Also I would love if they traded Voodoo HQ for Alianware.

lol ditto to that! I was abit suprised out there not being a mention of ireland in the article. Intel have fab 24 in Leixlip, kildare. plus already own fabs 10 and 14 not sure if they're kicking out intel componants though.

You guys totally missed Austin, Texas; they have a whole bunch of stuff, including major offices for AMD and Intel.

Twould have been cooler if you had posted locations for more of the major fabrication plants out there; Intel operates a couple plants out of Oregon for example, and a whole bunch of other fabrication plants are around there; they just dont come to mind :p

"If you've been following the ever-delayed progress of top title S.T.A.L.K.E.R, you might know that it's being developed in the same Eastern European location the game itself is set in. Developers GSC Game World run their office out of Kiev, in the Ukraine. The boys caused quite a stir went it was revealed they travelled to nearby Chernobyl to conduct research and take photographs of the famous nuclear disaster site. Whilst the game was due to be released last year, it now looks like we won't see it until the summer, if at all."
Thats from page 5, shouldnt it be "the boys caused quite a stir WHEN it was revealed . . .

First time caller, long time listener...oops...

Great article. One minor point that's worth mentioning (at least to me) is that Micron Technology has no fabs in China. Virtually everything that Micron produces comes from fabs in Boise, Idaho and Manassas, Virginia, with contributions from fabs Nishiwaki City, Japan and Avezzano, Italy. A joint venture with Intel also produces NAND flash in Lehi, Utah.

I would just like to point out that ATI is not located in Toronto, but is actually located in Markham, Ontario just north of Toronto. Markham is also known as Canada's Hi-Tech Capital because of the number of hi-tech companies that have their headquarters here. And the weather is not -10...it was 9 the other day which is about 48 degrees for you Americans.
