Notebooks Inspiron 9400 with core duo on the market woohoo

Nope, afraid its not a typo - its not the same as the GTX - otherwise they'd have just cleverly nailed their own XPS M170 with a cheaper, better laptop and we couldn't have that could we Ahem.

Anyway, fewer pipelines (!!) and lower clocks I think. Saw a lot of banter about the 9400 on another forum - just google for inspiron 9400 and you'll hit the thread I read - it was massive! It's not an upgradeable chassis like the XPS and 9300 either I think.

Gotta love Dell, that's harsh spec'ing to leave it nicely under the XPS to let them justify that extra few hundred quid for the pretty lights and 7800GTX...one in the eye for gamers as far as I can see?

No doubt the all singing, all dancing XPS Duo version will arrive in two months costing £500 more with lots of Neon cr @ p. Genius.
