After doing a bit of research my search for my future PSU is narrowing!! which one out of these two would your recommend for possible SLI/Crossfire, conroe, directx10 blah blah....
so do you reckon that the 100watt difference between the two is not really worth much - i know watt's arent the main thing!!
well, I bought the FSP700W. A little more research says that I probably could have got away with the 600W Epsilon though at £20 cheaper. & yes, Tagan are good too.
Why'd you even ask for our opinions then? You obviously had already decided one way since it was contrary to 80% of the advice given
Gonna go against the flow here and say get a Tagan SOOOO nearly ended up getting a S12 600w unit, but been SUPER impressed with this Tagan so far. It's a touch cheaper than the Seasonic and the rails are a little better too
I recently bought an antec 550W true power 2.0, (true control) with the volt control in front. I must say it's the best thing i've ever seen, i was able to almost double my OC without crashing, which was happening all the time with my other one if i went a bit too agressive. Now everything runs as smooth as a baby's butt, i'd recommend this one in a heartbeat
Fortron are under rated IMO but Seasonic on this occasion is what you should go for. The Seasonic S12 series has been revised with longer cables (should fit in the P180 without probs) and all cables are sleeved. No idea when they will make it to the UK.
I'd say the Seasonic due to its extremely good efficiency (though it doesn't really affect the power to your computer heh). I doubt you'd be dissapointed with any FSP, Antec, Tagan, or Seasonic powersupply though.
Seasonic and FSP are both great makes, the only reason I went with seasonic is that I know its quiet and I don't know how loud the FSP is.
Thank you all for the comments!! i think i'm going to go for the Seasonic S12 now although the enermax liberty 620W is running it close....
well the liberty is modular, and the seasonic not. IMO, its a simple choice. Modular PSU's are easier to work with.
