I'm putting together an Openbsd router/firewall around the shuttle fv24 motherboard. Anyone know any good places to buy new PIII fcpga processors? I don't have any lying around and I can't find any on the net that aren't overpriced. By the way, when did Intel switch to fcpga 2 on their CPUs? This mobo doesn't support them so I can only stick with the 1st gen ones.

Buy a via c3 cpu they run without a fan on the heatsink so ultra quite and good enough for a router. Also dirt cheap.

I was considering that but seeing as it can't even perform some benchmarks and has such low FPU scores I might just stick with a Celeron or PIII. I'd prefer having a CPU that could be used for other more intensive tasks in the future, unlike the C3.
