News Half-Life 2 - Episode one is out today!

I enjoyed Half-Life 1, Opposing Force, and Blue Shift greatly.
That being said, I was sorely disapointed with the slightly less engrossing story in Half-Life 2, and the horrid ending which was meant to do nothing more then set you up for all their expansions. And there is still no real explanations on the Combine or any of that. Currently I can't afford Episode 1. And even when I can, I will wait for people's oppinions before possibly wasting my money on this psuedo-sequel that is doing what Half-Life 2 should have done.

 

I need to get a proper credit card... i've got switch/maestro which pretty much every store accepts but steam doesnt. It really grinds my gears when i see the ROB price is £19.99 in shops and the steam price is $19.95. I mean how do they work these things out.
Anyway enough ranting cos i know i'll probably still buy it anyway. I loved hl2 and im playing though it now to remind myself exactly what happened. I believe last time i played it straight from start to finish on day of release and i was a bit knackered by the end of it. i dont remember what happened ... just that i enjoyed it.
Just read that back, sounds like the motto to a good night out aswell.

well I'm unlocked and have played for about a half
hr and I stand by what I said about replay value. it
looks every bit as good as I thought it would

 

wow, just reached Chapter 2.... the production values are off the charts with this one... wow. This one delivers too. Going back to playing.

 

Played it for about 2 hours so far. Gonna stop now, and play a bit more tomorrow.

I don't want to complete it all in one go, I'd like to spread it over a few evenings.

I keep looking around at all the scenery and going "Oooooooooh pretty!"
