Okay so I plan to hook up a few LED's in my car (cool lighting effects) and that got me to wondering, how hard it it to rig up a fuse (and would I need one?) and what is the proper way to join a bunch of wires in a car? I mean I can just solder a lump of them together and then heat shrink it but I would prefer something a little more professional...

    Any help?

just grab the power from a allreddy fused part of the car like the cig lighter. use the back of it so you cant see the wires. and for the leds just get the right sized resistors for each and it should work fine.

If your gunna solder the wires you need to disconnect the cars battery first otherwise strange things happen.
All leds brought from car shops already have resistors so are rated @12V also work in pcs(without the need for pcb's full of resistors..

Oh I was just going to grab some from dick smith...

I think they are 1.5V so I was just going to make up chains of 8 or 9 to keep the voltage shared out.....

I think thats right isn't it? Parallel keep the volatage but splits the current, Series splits the voltage but keeps the current?

    Or you could say

"There at Dick Smith's, LEDs are $3 each" or

"Dick Smith's, their LEDs are $3 each"

Very confusing to people (like Australians) with English as a second language. :D
