    if it was me i would cut a hole in the wall so it mounts flush and isnt so obtrusive.

    mine is actually not that thick! unlike KNA, i didn't double fold the harddrive onto itself. there was plenty of space so i left it alone and i can pull it out and change it if i want to. the thickness would only be about 2inches for the whole thing! and once i extend the cables for the PSU, the PSU (which is only about 4x3inches) can stay on the floor. i'm still gonna leave the fan in the frame and i'll leave enough holes for venting thru the back. i've left the CD drive out as i won't need it and it saves on weight also.
