Well heres your question, do you want AA+HDR but crappy drivers (ATI) or decent drivers and raw overclocking ? You really need to give us more information, are you on AGP? PCI-E? Whats your budget?
Chose Nvidia because i like the drivers, i had a ati with catalyst controller before.. and it was rather slow. Plus i like my 7600gt it overclocks well, solid card.
I have an X1800XT and love how I can have AA + HDR at the same time. But Nvidia have better drivers compared to the buggy ATI ones. Mark.
Oh and lets not foreget about ATi's better image quality but tbh I'd go for what ever is the best chioce at the time, so in my case I picked the X1800 XT 256mb as it was extremly cheap, (£170) and still is. But as said go whatever fits your price range and is best value/preformance
Yeh. Those X1800 crads are really cheap at the minute, and if I was building a rig at this time I would defintley be picking one up for £170! Mark.
Okay I'll be honest... I'm nvidia fanboy, grew up with nVidia, and never had Ati. Still sticking to it, since it's alright.
This is just pointless. You try to incite a thread which has been done many, many times before, yet, you talk about chipsets in a video card forum.
