If it's a Black Ice GT (or something of a similar size), you'll need to do some work on the case. Probably just removing the front hard drive cage would be enough, and that's fairly easy to do. (it's just held in there with regular CD-rom thread screws, so it'll come right out.)
The thickest rad that can be fit with reasonable ease is a Black Ice Pro, or other 1" thick rads. If you want to do some of the world's most painful fiddling with a screwdriver, you can get a 2" thick rad (most out there) by putting the fan on the other side, but it's nearly impossible without at least temporarily removing the front hard drive rack. Mine couldn't have more than a millimetre clearance, and I've got a fan grill in the front area that I can take off, to get at it with relative ease (reattaching it, on the other hand...)
i have taken out the hdd cage i dont want to mod my case like this Edit: Found my answer here http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=108163&page=1&pp=20
Ack I must be more tired than I thought... I was talking about a v2000. I thought that pic looked a bit different than what I have. That said, you can fit several rads in the area, but some rads are going to be a much tighter fit than others.
