Anyone have any suggestions for games to play at a LAN Party? There will be 8 people at the party.

    The game list so far:
    Battlefield 2
    SWAT 4
    Unreal 2004
    Warcraft 3

Everyone that will be attending has a PC capable of playing BF2, so system specs shouldnt be a problem for most games.

Ghost Recon is always fun in a LAN. Also, Age of Mythologies/Titans is really fun. Rise of Nations, Half-Life.

Indeed, try to aviod ames like BF2 IMO, they take waaaay to long to load. Maybe DOD:S or CSS too ? Also NFS:MW MP is pretty decent :)

Along with those modern games you should revisit your gaming roots in such classics as Starcraft or Total Annhilation, two of my lan party favorites.

Red Alert 2, CS 1.6, FarCry, IL2: Sturmovik (a rarely-remembered, bloody classic game), Q3, Enemy Territory (free!), Red Orchestra (free!). There's lots of others tbh, but you might run out of time to play them all.

lol, I was about to mention that, if you have a craving for racing, NFS:MW is def. the top choice. Multiplayer is highly underated imo.

Otherwise what the others have suggested, Serious Sam co-op (had that in my LAN a while agom was a huge hit), any of the quake/UT series, CS 1.6/source, any big RTS such as Warcraft III, any CnC (ZH is great for LAN, especially a big comp stomp).

Why does LAN party always = FPS shooter? As much as I like FPS games, I'd like to go to a LAN where there are loads of driving games, or a flight sim area...

Get a driving game in there.... give people a break from the fragfest.
