What it looks like is a propreitary printer connection for HP printers since that box looks like a jetdirect external print server (i could be wrong). It couls also be a mini parallel

Looks like it could be a mini parallel jack. It appears to have 26 pins and parallel has 25 so? Otherwise please give us more details about the box and we can try to find its spec sheets. Just because it looks like something does not mean it is after all :thumb:

I hadn't actually thought to look to see if the name of it was in the manual. :worried:

Anywho, thanks for the input so far. It is on the back of an Axis 213 camera, the port is for a breakout box for various things (external mic, speakers etc.) but I was intending to make my own - hence the need for something to plug in there that I can connect to. :)

you could always swap it for a different connector if you wanted.

A few minutes poking around in the Mouser.com catalogue and it's a 3M Mini-D Ribbon Camera Link Standard Interface Cable.
    See page number 973
    http://www.mouser.com/catalog/627/973.pdf

You can confirm by measuring the pin spacing

Farnell also sell them as a cable assembly. The bad news is the price. :jawdrop:

Search the site on 'Mini-D Ribbon'

    Maybe a raspberry. :p

Centronics is 36- or 50-pin, hence the above comments from several of "mini-version".

Its also far too small, look at the RJ45 beside it for reference.

centronics was given to the conector type not the pin setup.

Thanks for the input, it definatley looks to be the Mini-d. I would've known the name if it was anything like the centronics connector on printers, it's far too small for that.

Cpemma: I see what you mean! £100 for a cable! The official breakout box is only £90 ish and I assume it comes with a cable.
