News Drive-by shooting at PS3 queue

Not willing to be shot for the PS3 exactly...but for the £1500 foolish fanboys and fangirls will pay for one

 

Wow, I never thought I'd see my hometown on Bit-Tech, Fark, Digg Frontpage, etc..
I'm also glad I'm pissed enough at Sony that I wasn't there either.

 

I wonder...

This sounds like a scene out of the novel "Jennifer Government". Nike were worried that their new shoes wouldn't sell like hotcakes when people discovered there were huge stocks of them everywhere. So Nike arranged for one of their own employees to instigate a shooting at a sale. People would be all "OMG! They're killing people for their shoes!" and the prices would skyrocket.

Hmmm... Do you think if we traced the plates on the car in the driveby it might trace back to the son of Sony's marketing manager?

 

Actually, CNN are reporting another incident where people waiting in line for a PS3 were attacked and a person shot.
