That's very light and clean.. I've gone the opposite way.. mine was very dark and grungy.. I even added grain and noise to everything. It looks good. Pity you couldn't finish it.

i was intending to go grungy to begin, but i thought id mix a few ideas from the game, as the combine stuff itself is very clean, straight forward, and mostly one colour, and then the rebel world is really grungy and rustic.

But its no biggy, seeing my Girlyfriend made me happier than the prizes ever could (our 2nd anniversary is this chriumbo eve. yay ^^). And besides, there are always other competitions.

    Good luck for your Entry!

Some cool stuff there. Love the green one!

I've gone dark and moody. Seeing as everyone else is, I'll post a sample too.

i guess when theres prices as good as that, its impossible to even compete for us little guys :duh:

I love those from novastar and silec though, really clean and professional, must be hard for the judges :hehe:

It seems that it's gonna be one tight competition... :D. I like that greenone (novastars), it makes it more "living" (the green color) but the text would be easier to read if it would be on two or three columns. Same for the the Pookeyheads design, but that one looks HL2 most. Backgrounds looks nice :)

wow, after seeing those screenshots i can see that it will be a very close competition. Everyones work looks so good, i think it will come down to the personal tastes of the jugdes.

Like Pookey and Silec, i went for the grungy look as well, and after seeing theirs i'm afraid to post mine.

Dont be shy, let us see your cra... work i mean :D. It's nice to see what people came up, even if it's not as good as you think it should be. Maybe we can give you good advices so you can learn new things and get some ideas. And you never know what the judges will like ;).

Still nice, some things don't need a lot of time to be good.

Nice work... LOVE the front page.

I'm a bit concerned where people are getting their artwork from however. Didn't we stipulate that we had to use words and pics from the article, and screenies from the game.. and nothing else unless it was original work by ourselves?

Can someone clarify? I'd hate to think I could have used some of the stuff I thought I couldn't.

    the rules state
. Which one would assume that if you can't find it on this site, then it must be your own work, or work which you ahve been given the a-ok to use.

I never even thought of searching Bit-Tech for HL2 artwork... I didn't think they'd be any.
