my first 419er!

Well i was wondering when it would happen, and on what E-mail account it would happen on. But i finally got my first Nigerian 419 E-mail!!

And its a very nice one too, incorrect grammer and the like but not at all abusive or derogatory. All in all they sound like nice people

The E-mail came on my University account of all things and started with "Hi Dear"

Anyone got any better 419 E-mails

just to fool the guys... create an account with absolutely nothing on and with a no overdraw option... mail that account and wait

 

^ just what i was going to say. I read about someone who fooled about with one of these people, And the responses from Mr. Africa were getting really heated, but this guy played along for like a month ^^

I wouldn't recommend that. You could open yourself up to identity theft. Not only that, but most banks require some initial deposit to open an account, and require a minimum balance to maintain the account. Furthermore, I'm not sure how creditors would view a random account being opened, then quickly closed.

Willingly opening yourself up that way could have negative impacts to your credit report, something that you really don't need.

If youcan find another way to string him along, then by all means!

im tempted, allthough in all honestly it is prob a really bad idea. I was just amused by it, the uni E-mail filter tagged it as spam but allowed me to see the original message hence the post.

I actually had someone try to pull this scam on me over IM once. I thought that was interesting.
