Thanks for the comments guys, been working on both cases today and there's going to be an update tomorrow, bigger for Phantom Black and a bit smaller one for OM.

    Just bare with me :hehe:

    Slot covers

Just a small suggestion- the rear slot covers might look better with button head screws.

Hey there marauder, I've got a lot of "real life" stuff going on at the moment, but I think I can cook up an update for you in a couple of days.

Also I've been getting my motivation back by thread surfing (and getting my postcount over 300, stoopid, I know :hehe:). Now I'll have to clean up my apartment and get to work on these mods, see you soon.

Thanks Godric and welcome to the forums, once again, I'm really flattered!

Stay tuned, there's an update coming pretty soon, something cool for once, not just wiring or tools stuff :hehe:

    Server upgrades...

Thanks for the comments and support guys.

I've put a lot of work hours into OM in the past few days, but as it is, the parts aren't ready to be photographed and on top of that, the Monster is at the workshop, so no updates on that yet.

In the mean while and between workshifts, I decided to do some light modding and upgraded the "server" a bit. Well actually it's not a server anymore as it has become my second workstation and it'll work as one as long OM isn't finished.

Here's a few pictures of what I've done with it.

You still remember this, right? Nothing too special, just clean and neat...

There has been some changes after the last update on this, 1Gb of A-Data RAM, no soundcard (onboard is good enough for this machine) and no extra LAN card (didn't need one after all :hehe:). There you can also see the silver painted front ports installed.

Also in the first pic there's a Matrox G550 which didn't support 1680x1050 via DVI, so that was exchanged to my trusty old GeForce 3 card which worked quite well. And now since I had an extra Radeon 9800 Pro card lying around, decided to pop that in there. It did however require a bit of custom wiring...

There you go, all sleeved and nice, also took out the orange SATA wires and put in some black sleeved ones.

And finally here they are a bit closer.

I'm fairly happy about this, now it's powerful enough for me to do some light 3D modeling and such. Let's sum it up by saying that it's a bit better suited for my needs now than it was.

I'll try to bring you the update on OM as soon as possible, but it'll probably be a couple of days to get the work needed done and the photos taken.
