    hi

am planning on putting a 120.1 rad where my rear extraction fan is in my akasa mirage case to cool a 8800gtx or possibly an R600. I was going to use a Thermochill pa120.1 originally but have calculated that the rad is too thick (5.9cm) and would catch the fan attached to the cooling pipes next to my cpu on my Asus p5b deluxe.

Am wondering whether or not a Stealth GTS 120 Black Ice or similar might be enough to cool the gfx (full cover block). If people have any experience with any other slim 120.1 rads please share.

Appreciate help and advice on this one.

    Thanks

Is'nt the HWLabs Black Ice Stealth GT120 supposed to be better or is that the one you mean?

Thought i'd include a pic to help explain a bit better:

I've done exactly the same thing, and something else to watch out for is recessed handles on the case side - I had to remove mine to get the rad to fit.

I have 2 120.1 rads in this case, on silent fans, and they manage to keep a mighty toasty (>120W) CPU cool easily enough, I'm sure it'll manage a graphics card. :)

Thanks everyone for replying. Will do some more measuring I think lol.

So, is the black ice stealth rad you listed almost as good as a pa?

Go Swiftech MCR if it'll fit. Black Ice GTS X-Flow performs worse than GTS standard, and both perform worse than Swiftech MCR.

Many thanks again Marci - have ordered a MCR (wish I had enough room for a pa though).
