the update isnt going to look like a whole lot, but its shaping up. ive been hardly working on anything for about a week, but today i really spent alot of time on the project. i got a lot of odds and ends tied up. in the next few days i should be having more updates coming more quickly.

the last two bay covers i needed to make were the actual dvd drive face cover, and also the 3 1/2 cover.
for the three and a half cover i started with some switches for the leds, and also the cathodes

    plex cut and measured.

    installed

mounted flush. looks a little rough. still needs a little work, but it looks really sleek. ill take better pictures closer to completion.

    from the side.

the drive cover so far. i still need to make the bezel, but its look pretty good right now.

from the side. plex needs sanded and polished, but its getting closer with every step.

finally, a little sneak peek into what im going to be doing to stop the mobo side from looking really drab. doesn't look like much now, but i think the final result will be pretty neat.

i will be having 3 hdd's in this relatively small case, and one of them is a raptor. i want a little extra cooling

hdd rack, cut for extra airflow.

thats it for now, but i should have some more updates that are actually visually stimulating next time i post.

    -God Bless-

yeeeehaw, i had most of the day off today, and tomorrow ill have another day off. ive gotten a lot done. while not all of it is photo worthy, it will make for a very good final turnout.

all the plex bits have been sanded an polished. a few of the aluminum bits are now primed, and tomorrow should receive some black paint.
i also drilled all the drive bay covers, and they are now ready to led'd

here we go. first off i started working on the side panel fan.
first attempt. i probably shouldn't post this, as it makes me look like a noob.

second attempt. i used a different technique, and got the desired effect.

i have the mesh in place on this one. im very excited to see this with a uv fan behind it.

i hammered the mesh through, and it looks really cool. i should spend more time of the photo taking, but for now this will work.

im going to try and get some really nice photos for the finished work, but for now im still about a week out.

this is my solution for lighting the rad grill.

this is what i love about modding most.
    thats right, pens!

pens measured, and ready for cutting.

    four perfect spacers.

taaadaaa. the spacers will be painted, dont worry.

    another shot.

i got a few things in, and this was one of the goodies.

the exhaust fan painted. it will be sleeved differently.

what the fan control now looks like, hooked up to the matching fan.

and one in the dark for good measure.

more to come tomorrow. tell me what you think so far.

Nice job on the lighting accents! What kind of blade are you using on that scroll saw to cut the aluminum?

im just using some blades from sears. they are 25 tpi i believe. they dont last tooo long, but i get a good run out of them. they arent very expensive either, so its no big deal.

so i started with the final project that i have to build last night.
here is the problem. wires lookin messy

solution... doesnt look like much i know.

i didnt get any pictures of the constrction because i didnt have the camera last night.

    some accents.

    bolts for the top

    counter sinking

    nicely executed.

it will be painted to match, and the plex will be polished. dont frett.

i got some of the metal bits painted.

    i stay fly

dont really get a good idea, but the final pics are quickly approaching.

    and the front.

i didnt do such a good job of polishing the E, but its a nice touch either way.

and a parting shot. this is with only one uv led.

all i have left to do now is to paint a few things. i need to sleeve some wires, and i have quite a bit of soldering left to do. then ill be ready for the final build.
