Slow Network data transfer XP > Vista

    only getting 10mb/s, seen a few reports of this on other sites, but wondering if anyone here has experience of same issue and hopefully a fix

    note this is not the file transfer failing issue, but just very slow data transfer speeds from an XP Pro machine to a vista ultimate machine via a 100mb/s router

    I have that problem with my NAS drive. Seems like the drivers aren't working right

    my hunch is Vista is scanning the data, my HD on the Vista machine also seems to be a lot more active than my XP Pro machine in general use

    I dont think vista like's grabbing files from XP, When ever I try and get a video file from our laptop with XP on, my pc (vista) spaz'z out and explorer close's
