Does anyone know where I can source one of these?! UK preferably but I have a couple of mates in the states who could send it over if need be.

I want to put it in my ford Ka for the ultimate laugh :D :eeek:

Someone already has train horns in his KA, i saw it on the kaklub.co.uk forums a while back.

Have a look on there and see what you can find.

brilliant, cheers guys! As fatboy has said, comedy gold :D

I want a nice deep sounding one as you can imagine, nothing too high pitched and chavvy, I was thinking dixie horns but I don't drive a dodge charger.

Definitely pure comedy. I have a steibel air horn in my car which you can hear echoing round the neighbourhood. Unfortunately it's not a really deep sounding one as most of those need a decent compressor :(

All very well until you kill someone with a week heart. Those US train horns are seriously loud.. that vid doesn't do it justice. At that distance the SPL is so great it hurts. Those things are designed to be heard clearly 12 miles away and those people are 20 feet away.

    Stupidity.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but just get some loud car air horns if you wanna do this. Be warned though, one day you'll do it to someone who'll just kick teh crap out of your car for being a total ****!

I have got to admit, I was considering geting the train horn myself and have been considering it for a few weeks. AT the end I decided not to go through with it for two reasons. First reason is what you mentioned, and imagine using those horns on the highway and starling someone and causing a pileup and god knows how much damage or killing someone. The other less important reason is because those horns cost anywhere between 250-1000usd for a set, not to mention they are ilegal, at least here they are. I would rather get a classic automotive air horn as a secondary if I want something unique, not to mention they are 20-40bux in range but they are designed for automotive use and are perfectly legal.

I have played around with a set like this

Its plenty loud and in the US its 50state legal ANything more is useless. They cost abour 33bux at autozone and they are easy to install.
