OK, time for the "completed" pics.

Here's the completed system, side access panel open, along with the "optional" custom keyboard and custom shuttlepod mouse. No, I don't regularly use that keyboard/mouse combo (my Saitek Eclipse and Logitch 610 do nicely, thanks) but they are cool for effect.

Here are another few pics. First the same side, but powered on. Then another pic showing the "hidden" side (no lights there).

    Finally, some closeups:

And, since everyone wants it, a quick video of HD activity:

nice. love the motors. you must show us the circuit diagram for those leds! did you design it or did you mod a led display such as a vu meter/eq or rpm display?

    Thanks for the comments.

For the HD lights, I used a circuit I found on Gideontech, but there is a similiar circuit here on bit-tech.net. The one on Gideontech used less parts (and I saw it first), so that's the one I used.

Sorry for the zombie thread resurrection, but all you closet trekkies out there - I need your help.

Please go vote for me in the Intel Case Mod competition!

Come on, you know you watch Star Trek... how can a couple Warp Nacelles (that display hard drive activity) not be worth 5 stars!

    Thanks! Live long and prosper!
