You're not really going to see very much performance gains from upgrading the RAM. Unless you have a buyer who will give you a VERY good price for your existing RAM, I'd say don't bother. I can't tell you what SLI is like with 2 8800s. I know in the past it was flakey at best, but that may have changed by now. If you don't mind, where are you getting an 8800GTX and 2GB of RAM for £180? Cos at that price, I might be persuaded to throw an extra gig of RAM and a 2nd GTX into my rig. Edit: Beaten!
I'm getting a new pc...and I'm not sure if to chose the 1st option or the 2nd one from the link provided so I haven't really have anything to sell hehe
well if I would got for the 1st one - I wouldn't really want to sell anything as the 2nd graphic card may come in handy in a year or two
If you buy the first one, I will buy the 8800gtx off you for £200 that way we both get a good deal! PM if you are interested
go for the first one, and hum.......... shame, i was going to ask for the 2nd graphics card. anyway, it's a bargain for gaining the GTX and more processing power. there's no reason not to. also, go for q6600 as well, then buy a kick-a** cooler, and run your q6600 at 400x8=3.2Ghz. that's 200Mhz more than the stock e6850 while having 2 more cores
What size display are you goin to be gaming on? If you have a 24 incher or smaller, then you only need to go for the single.
