Went to 'Game ON' at the Barbican Center on Saturday.
(An inspired place to hold an exhibition on the history of video games if you ask me - reminds me of a Quake3 Level :D )

They had everything there - from SpaceWar! all the way through to todays stuff, and a little on some new tech comming out.

Loads of authentic coin-ops (all free!), console's and computers from the 70's onwards. They even had a vintage PDP-1 on display! (the system space war was developed on)

Well worth a look! The only thing I was disapointed about was the original starwars vector graphics coin op didn't work (Hours of my youth wasted on this machine...)

Heresy!:eeek: I could almost believe I was Luke Skywalker playing that game, so realistic where the graphics....;)

You won't be disapointed, Hex. The section on GTA3 is well worth checking out, and so is the 'Cultural Differences' display. The Japanese dating "Simulations" are just plain ODD:eyebrow:

    But hey - it's all good!:D

It was so cool playing super street fighter 2 again, and as a result of playing the Atari Jaguar I have ordered one to be delivered in two days!!

    Retro Gaming collector!

    Gotta NES, SNES, MegaDrive, Master System 1 + 2, Dreamcast, PS1, N64, and a Saturn :D

    Play is moving!

    Gaming fest heads for Scotland

"Gamers in Scotland are in for a treat as an exhibition charting 40 years of gaming history heads across the border.
The Game On exhibition is moving to the Royal Museum, Edinburgh, from 18 October, following a successful four-month run at London's Barbican Gallery. "

That's the one - looks like some mad Q3 level!

Tip - try not to go in from the 'Cripplegate' side - otherwise you'll spend forever trying to figure out how to get across the water....

Oops! Forgot to post that I went in the end! I did really enjoy it, shame my boyfriend was in a mood all day & barely spoke. We went with our mate (BabyChaos) though so at least I had someone to talk to.

Did you see the 'Cow Parade'? We saw it on our way back to Moorgate tube. It was a complete nightmare on Saturday cos there were no tube trains between Baker Street & Farringdon & we missed 'End of Play' :(
