Have just finished installing Ubuntu and Wine, got sound working and everything, but now I can't see anything whilst playing Half-Life. I can start a game but it just has what I persume to be the loading screen with "New Game" in the middle, I can hear the announcer speaking and I should be able to see something but there is nothing.
    Using
    Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon
    AMD 3200+
    1GB RAM
AMD X800 Vanilla with restricted drivers (Assumed reason for no video)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

I've had bad experiences with installing drivers from repositories, I would suggest downloading the driver directly.
