I can do that, but if it has already been done, why recreate the wheel.

    Thanks,
    Erik

    Hi!!

The project is working fine here!!!! I will post some pictures later.

    Just three doubts:
    - Can I control 16x2 LCDs?
    - How activate the buzzer using LCDSmartie?
    - Can I control the contrast by software?

If the schematic is right there is no reason
why it should not work. There is a wire link
that you can replace with a track

    Hi all
Well today I soldered my USB LCD controller according to Waneeboy diagram (see below) I have just one problem there is no way to turn backlight on. Do you have anny suggestions? Transistor maybe ?

    EDIT.
I just resoldered transistor - just turned it around for 180 degrees - I have backlight on now but I can't turn it off with Lcd Smartie ( I was able to do it when LCD was hooked to LCD port)
