Motors Melted my engine

    I was blasting round in the hovercraft today, when the thrust engine seized.

    That is the mag cylinder. hmpf. The piston and rings have become one and hopefully that white residue is just bits of piston stuck to the cylinder lining.:waah:

    If I'm unlucky the lining will have scored and would require a new one, or a lot of boring out. Apparently the best way to remove it is using conc HCl to dissolve the ally and leave the iron lining.:blah:

    It is from a 2 cylinder engine, and the other one is fine.

    EEp indeed!
    Reminds me of my bros mini which blew a gasket and melted the top of the piston, not a pretty sight, but got it overbored to 1293 so should be a little more torquey!
