Mine's cooler with it off, but oddly it was also cooler before I mounted a 120mm fan above the CPU (it's a b0rg)

Theres not much difference between the temps of my CPU when the side is off or on my case. It usually is slightly cooler with the sind on tho.

Mine usually runs with the side off, but I put the side on recently - I had to up the CPU warning temp by 4 degrees to stop the mobo alarm from going off.

Definately with it off. With the PSU screwed in above CPU and side on its at 59 degrees, but with it off a PSU outside its at 24 degrees (cool room) 30 otherwise.

sk8er fat get yaself one of them Enlight cases u like so much, then u can fit all ya stuff inside ;)

i dont know my case/cpu temps cos my old katamai p3 500 doesnt have a thermal diode :D though i imagine it would be the same as ambient temps, what with 4 80mm evercool fans to cool it and a cpu that always runs fairly cool

Mine is definitely cooler with the side on, all those blow holes keep the air moving around much better. Its only about 1 degree or so, but its just due to better air flow.

It makes no difference on my system. I thing it might because all of the cpu cooling is done outside of the case and the psu efficantly cools itself as well.

Cooler with the side on....looks wise. No difference to temps, as the case is at room temp.
