Prizes are pretty weak as well...they should at least throw in a MKIII, 85L, 300 2.8 IS or something along those lines. They've got billions of dollars for God sake, theres no need to cheap out.

What do the category winners win...?

 

Non exclusive rights however, and if you win you are reimbursed in the form of a prize equalling approx 2000 euros.

 

Right...it states that semi-finalists will win a choice of prizes ranging from 2100-2200 euros, but what do the finalists win? Or do they consider the #1 finalist of each category "semi-finalists"? One would think they would select three winners from each category and from that narrow it down to one winner which takes home a pro kit (MKIII, 85L etc etc), with the other two winning lesser prizes (40D, 17-55 etc etc)...Possibly even taking it one more level and choosing an overall winner from the 4 categories to take home an elite kit...your choice of one camera body and a selection of one lens from each of the given categories (macro, stndrd-med tele, wide, wide zoom, standard zoom, tele zoom, tele, super tele, TSE) with certain limitations of course...

Thats my entry, I thought it was rather good until I went on the gallery and nearly cried.

 

I think that the winner(s) gets to choose an 'assignment' of their choice to go along with a pro on location somewhere. could be pretty exciting.
