Anyone know where I could buy one of those things to help you bent plexi? Anyone know what they are called even?
hmm, I once used a this thing... It was basically the heating element from somthing like an oven in the top of a long box. You lay the sheet of plexi over the element, on the box, and after a little while the one area where you want the joint to be is plyable, when it cools it hardens. Although, and heat gun might work well too. esspecially for sections that you don't want a straight bend.
called a line bender but yes, thats exactly what it is, a cooker elemnt i na tube, with a straight edge to bend over
know where they sell that kind of think in the states? I'd rather stay away from putting plexiglass in the oven
Home Depot, in the paint section. Should be about $24 for a cheapie, or $35 for a slightly less cheapie. A good one is more like $60-70, and you won't find that at HD.

u can use a normal lighter, just keep it a bit away so it slowly heats it up and dosent make it black and stuff
If you want a perfect bend, get a copper pipe that can fit over your soldering iron. Let the iron heat it up a bit, then use the pipe to heat the plexi and also guide the bend. Works for me, but make sure the pipe is not hot enough to melt the plexi
That's not a bad, idea wizard. I might give that a shot, it's sufficiantly low-budget. Now, to get some plexi.
