Ive been doing some reading about graphics cards and what it seems like to me is .... a duel 8800 setup is almost just a powerful as a duel 9800 setup. Am I completely in left field about this one? Or is there some truth to this? Because if so, I can save some money in that department. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
which 8800 are you talking about, there are nearly 10 variations. GTX: 100% more powerful 512MB GTS: about the same GT: a bit less, still able to hold its own with its price/performance though
The 9800GT isn't out yet, but its basically identical to the 8800GT. The 9800GTX is just a slightly overclocked 8800GTS. Just get the 8800GT and be happy with it. Its a great card.
