Hi guys, yesterday I was looking for a cheap scroll saw so I can use it on a project and I found this, maybe the idea could be usefull for someone.

(Translation and adaptation from the original http://www.cochesrc.com/foros/transformacion-de-caladora-vieja-a-sierra-de-marqueteria-vt67581.html)

I've modified the jigsaw because the pieces didn't fit because of the prolonged use. I've cut and removed everything unnecesary, the table is made from two alu sheets and wood between them and feet are from kitchen furniture, under them you got the jigsaw inverted. The most important, the other side of the saw is joined to a steel bar, which elasticity keeps the saw tight during the use of the tool.

There's no schemes from the invention because it depends on the jigsaw you use. The materials are all from other broken tools and furniture. The jigsaw is a Black&Decker whit a screw fasten system, removed the original and put a homemade one to fasten the saw.

great little idea, though from just looking @ it i don't think it could generate and maintain the tension needed for the finer blades.. though still quite useful.

got ideas, just starting to mod...

I have got to the stage in my modding career :baby: ...... when I am getting to use tools like a cheap mini grinder and am making a drill press incorporating a Black and Decker drill press attachment.
Now I have read this thread :baby: I have the idea I could use the jig saw I rarely use as a this scroll.

Hey Froop, that face mask looks like a good idea. Do you have goggles to go with it?
