Went out for a walk tonight with my new tripod and snapped a couple of what I think are good shots . They have been edited like removing things in the background I didn't want. Thanks for looking,
the 2nd shot is uber cool! the colors make me think of a batman poster. very symmetric, clean and precise, well done!
yeah long expo, 30 sec upwards, with a high flow of traffic works best. What i like is that there is no ghost lorry in the scene, which means all the traffic was flowing at a good average speed.
30secs isn't exactly necessary... guess it depends where you are. Some people do drive at 20mph in a 40 for instance...
Really like the second one. At some point I am going to have to have a go at doing one of those shots. Dan
was the wall picture touched up in PS at all? i can see a very abrupt black shape that is almost unnatural on top of the backgrounds wall... did you paint any of that black on? maybe its just me..
I didn't see it until you pointed it out, but the background definitely looks like it's been half painted over in photoshop. And reading the original post properly confirms it: I guess this is one of the times when making sure your monitor is calibrated properly comes into play. Dan
