    Went out for a walk tonight with my new tripod :) and snapped a couple of what I think are good shots :).

    They have been edited like removing things in the background I didn't want.

    light trails are a bitch to get right, and thats a nice one!

    the 2nd shot is uber cool! :D
    the colors make me think of a batman poster. very symmetric, clean and precise, well done!

    yeah long expo, 30 sec upwards, with a high flow of traffic works best. What i like is that there is no ghost lorry in the scene, which means all the traffic was flowing at a good average speed.

    Nope, no lorries :) was late at night :) and last night, there was 1 ambulance though but i missed it.

    30secs isn't exactly necessary... guess it depends where you are. Some people do drive at 20mph in a 40 for instance...

    That shot was a 25s exposure :) worked fine.

    At some point I am going to have to have a go at doing one of those shots.

    was the wall picture touched up in PS at all?

    i can see a very abrupt black shape that is almost unnatural on top of the backgrounds wall...
    did you paint any of that black on?



    maybe its just me.. :idea: :confused:

    I didn't see it until you pointed it out, but the background definitely looks like it's been half painted over in photoshop.

    And reading the original post properly confirms it:
    I guess this is one of the times when making sure your monitor is calibrated properly comes into play. :naughty:

    Yeah the wall was badly PS lol, my monitor is factory calibrated lol straight out the box :).
