    Hello everybody...I'm a newbie here...
I want to know your opinion about my config for playing games.
If you have some better ideas, some better components, let's advise me...
    I need your help.
    Thank advance.
And sorry for my bad English.

    Some question :
1 : is card graphique Sapphire 4870 Toxic is good choice? Is it noisy?
    2 : if I count o/c,is Power Supply 500W is enough?
3 : is my RAM's choice is good?
4 : do you think a card graphique XFX 260GT Black Edition is a lot better than the Toxic?

    THANK.

    Welcome!

    1. It's good. Can't comment on noise, but the stock cooler of a 4870 is a bit noisy under load, but on idle it's silent.

    2. A 500W PSU will be enough, but Silver Power might not be the best PSU manufacturer out there. Check out Corsair, eg. their HX520 model.

    3. Yes.

    4. It's not a lot better, but a bit on low AA and resolution. If you have a large monitor (24"+) or wish to use lots of AA, then the ATI card is your choice.

Change the PSU to a Corsair or Enermax power supply. Otherwise, that looks good. :)

    Thank for your answers.
Do you know the different between Corsair VX and Corsair TX?
I have 2 models to choose : VX 550 and TX 650, with my config (o/c too), what PSU is better to choose?
The hard drive I have already.

    I have 1 LCD 19'' but I'll buy a 22'' soon.
I have Window XP 64 bits already.
Case fan I'll buy a Rasurbo 12 cm.

    About graphique I have 3-4 choices :

    PowerColor Radeon™ HD 4870 1 Go PCS+

    Club 3D Radeon™ HD 4870 1 Go Overclocked Edition

    Sapphire Radeon™ HD 4870 1 Go Toxic

    MSI N260GTX-T2D896

    Which one to choose?

The Toxic is supposed to be very quiet.
I myself have bought the PowerColor PCS+ in a Lite Version only a week ago. On idle it's... ok, at most. But in games it really spins up and is quite annoying.
HOWEVER with a bit of modding it is no big deal to change the fan. Luckily it is easy to reach the screws that fasten the fan to the cooler, and change the fan without removing the cooler and voiding the guaranty alltogether. Only thing you'd have to do is take another fan, cut away the frame and make some holes in the right places.

I'll do that in a few days and post some pictures here.
Depends on the price really, if it is not that more expensive I'd go with the Sapphire Toxic.

    Thank for all your answer.
So my config is good to buy, right?
I have some more questions before decide and I need you:

1 : With 12 euros more than the VX550,the TX650 is really mérit to buy it,right?
2 : Should I get the UD3P to change for the UD3R with 17 euros more,do performance is better than UD3R and with UD3P can we really do CrossFire in future with this and with TX650 W? I hear that we only can do CrossFire with P48 version motherboard, not really in EP45...
3 : I think to remplace that Ram G.Skill 6400PK with OCZ 8500 Platinum is 14 euros more,is it mérit to change?
    Thank
