I finished this project a couple of months ago. This was my 4th design for a plexi LCD stand, however, I managed to wreck 5 plexi sheets and fry one LCD before getting it to work. Well anyway... here it is... Well watcha think?
The upper nob is for backlight brightness, the bottom one for contrast. The left button for LCD power, the right one for backlight power. Glad you like it!
I was thinking about that inverted thing already, surely would look good. However, I already have bad expierinces with trying to do this... Maybe I'll try that again in the future... Anyway thx for the idea and glad you like it!
Here are side and back views: The black box at the back is simply for storing cables (I used two types) and a Infra-red reciever.
get some 1/8" sleeve for those cables, and you'd have a perfect setup! Other than that, looks great Jackson!
Ya, it is hooked up to the parallel port of my PC. I can basically everything I want to... That ranges from CPU temps., fan speeds to what is currently on TV. The software I use is jalcds http://www.jalcds.de/
