I was looking over the last two weeks so far, and it seems like although I'm getting through more WU's, they're worth significantly less points. Last week: 61 WU's, ~51,000 points This week (so far): 74 WU's, ~38,000 points Any reason, or just kinda luck of the draw?
Looks like I've processed at least 8 of them in the past two days, so I think the folding gods are just toying with me at the moment...
My Athlon 6000 CPU is doing a unit worth 84 points which will take four and a half hours. Three of my graphics cards are doing 511 point units. Yesterday our Chimp Challenge team did 618 units for 293621 points. Our highest number of units for our second lowest number of points. The other teams are complaining also. That and the server problems are very frustrating. Update Sat. 11am : On Friday, 763 units by our Chimp Challenge (another new record) but only 356,289 points.
I think it's crazy that the work involved in processing some WUs don't earn a fairer score. The 511PPD WU's are infamous, so why don't Stanford upgrade them to 700-800 pointers? To me, there's quite a few anomalies in the way points are awarded. After all, when "Our highest number of units" earns "our second lowest number of points", then something is very wrong somewhere. Ali.
Had one 700 pointer today and everything else is 511 points - what's going on 26th May - just got a 1888 point WU
