Hello everybody

I saw Cyprio's mod http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=125218
and Canpo's mod http://koebs.org/ (go to coolcases)

So I wanted to do the same. I looked everyday for an empty case but it was very difficult to find one in Switzerland.
And then I found one for only 60 francs and it was new.

[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

After it came I had no idea what to do because I've never done something like that before.
My first problem was, how to fix the mainboad in the G5 so I went to the scrap dealer to buy an old mainboard tray.

[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

I cutted out a hole and fixed the MB-tray and bought a new PSU.

[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

and than it looked so it was ugly but it worked.

[IMG][IMG]

That was enogh for a while.

Two weeks ago my Mainboard exploded:duh: and so I had to finish my project.:dremel:

I bougt a new Mainboard: ASUS P5Q-E

[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Three new fans:
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

A new CPU cooler:
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Puuhhh... that was expensive :grr:

I took the MB-tray and polished it a little bit.
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

and I bought a new cooler for my graphics card. To make my system silent.
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

After I put everything in the case it looked like this without cablemangemant.
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

With cablemangemant:
[IMG][IMG][/IMG]

I know that it isn't as good as cyprios or canpos but I'm happy with the result so far

Next steps:

Looks clean and simple.

Why did you change the HDD bay?
Ive got one of those GPU coolers, as well as a G5 Case. It's pretty long, I took the plastic off the edge to shorten it a bit. Does it fit in your case with the plastic door cover?
Also guessing the plastic door cover won't fit because of where you put your fans.
I've got a 2x120mm rad with the fans in the front like that. If you move them closer to the front you should be able to fit the plastic cover over it.

Yes the plastic door doesn't fit because of the two fans.

My HDD made in the bay to much noise/vibrations that's why I removed it.

Thanks wurinek

The power button is still in my drawer :grr: I do not have the patience to do it. But I'll send you the diagramm if you want to.

My last post was in October 08 and since then I didn't do that much but here are some updates, hope you guys like it.

My fans weren't mounted properly so I had to to think about it. When I was surfing in the internet I found by pure chance a radiator shroud from Thermochill and that was exactly that what I needed.
