Would you really want to buy one? The 120GB was sold for £130 so this is bound to be £200 on its own.

I wish they would patch the 360 to accept any laptop drive and stop with this propriety rubbish.

It'll be sold down the line, MS want people to buy and download to the 360, so unless they allow other HD's on it then they'll keep releasing bigger ones

They said it's not being sold separately. That doesn't rule out a future release.

Even if it's not, surely this means that they will update the 360 to allow 250Gb partitions, all we need to do is find out what 250Gb drive they're using and bobs your uncle we can make our own just like you can do with 120Gb ones.

You say that, but there are still people having issues with various save games not working when using non-MS hard drives.
It's the only thing preventing me from upgrading my drive!

It sounds silly but I can see myself needing 250GB before the 360's time is up. I've used 1/2 of my 120GB already before installing a lot of my games and when the Zune Video appears (which should include buy-to-own) it'll reach its limit quite quickly.

Will Microsoft really ban you from live if you do that hard drive mod? If so it's not as worth it as they make it out to be! Besides that there are hundreds of 60 and 120's on ebay for pretty cheap.

you can use an 500gb hdd i think if you wanted to, i never buy an hdd from M$ as they overcharging way to much for it, HDD mod is better to use (funny that PC world posted the way to do it beaning an year old guess they was not told to pull it)

Hmm, it doesn't quite work like that Shawn

I really want them to unlock it so I can just whack a generic 500Gb drive in there

Even better, add RAID support :D
